Jill Sorensen-Davis is an energetic and committed educator who has taught at the secondary and graduate level, is recognized as an outstanding classroom teacher, and is valued as a distinguished teacher leader who has served as mentor, instructional coach and facilitator of timely programs and projects.
Teaching alongside inspirational and dedicated teachers at Reed-Custer School District, Jill taught 7th and 8th grade algebra, pre-algebra, general math, language arts, Math RtI, in addition to facilitating and guiding student advisory groups. Has collaborated and co-authored numerous math and language arts curriculums aligned to the Common Core and Illinois Learning Standards. Through modeling, trainings and mentoring, Jill shared with colleagues her knowledge of cooperative learning, differentiated instruction, assertive discipline, Response to Intervention, and many more initiatives in her career as a teacher.
Jill obtained her Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University and her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University, as well as 40+ additional hours of Master Classes. Committed to sharing and giving back to the educational learning community, Jill has taught graduate level teacher education courses for over 8 years in the summers with her husband, Thomas.
